A Little Background
We design and build custom one-of-a-kind Rustic Log Furniture and Whimsical
Treasure Boxes. We are a small Christian family woodworking company. All pieces are
handmade from Real Wood only. Lori comes up with the concepts, and Randy designs
and builds each piece, including all sanding and finishing. Lori handles the packaging,
shipping and marketing.
All of our pieces are made from North American Woods: Aromatic Red Cedar,
Eastern White Pine, Black Cherry, Black Walnut, Maple, Red Oak, Hickory, and
Sycamore. Exceptions to this can be accommodated with custom orders. We use only
Northern White Cedar logs in all of our log furniture.
Our goal is to showcase one of God's most precious creations: Trees. We will only apply
finishes that allow the natural grain of the wood to be shown. And naturally, all of our
furniture is made from Real Wood. Everything is made from Real Logs and Solid Wood,
NO veneers or particle board.
We like Cedar especially for two very favorable characteristics:
1. Lighter Weight.
2. Naturally impervious to insects.
We design and handcraft every piece of rustic furniture and every treasure box in our
own shop. Every creation is handmade with the anticipation of each piece eventually
becoming a family heirloom and an antique. In fact, the biggest problem Randy has is
getting Lori to give up each new creation. She wants to keep everything we build!
We've been doing this since 1989, but just recently decided to expand this into a full
time business. Until now, we have been building custom furniture and Antique
Restorations on a contract only basis. We still intend to build custom furniture by
request from our clients, but we will now be creating some new unique pieces of Rustic
Log Furniture and Whimsical Treasure Boxes for general sales.
